Our Portuguese as a Second Language classes are perfect for those who need to improve their Portuguese language skills.
At UNISC, the Language Center is responsible for teaching foreign languages to undergraduate students and local community. For this purpose, Centro de LÃnguas e Culturas (CELINC), as the Language and Culture Center is known has developed, throughout its many years of teaching experience, classes focused on teaching Portuguese language through the approach of social and anthropological views of our country. Focused on the Brazilian Portuguese, the course curriculum approaches our linguistic variations, language levels, idioms and a lot from our lexical richness.
Classrooms are acclimatized and designed to for small groups or individual classes. Students learn through grammar exercises and are continuously monitored by a teacher, which makes it possible to understand the Brazilian culture.
There are several extra activities aiming to informalize learning practices. For this purpose, students are invited to attend cultural meetings, external events, etc.
The possibility of free Portuguese classes for foreign students will depend on the agreement previously set between the students’ home institution and UNISC.
